The Scrum Guide defines three roles in Scrum: Developers, the Scrum Master, and the Product Owner.
Today, we’re going to talk about the Product Owner.
Do you really know what their role is in a Scrum team and how they help the team move forward?
They are the person who carries the product vision.
They decide what needs to be built, why, and in which order, and they communicate this vision to the team.
During sprints, They acts as the voice of the customer.
They answer questions, clarify details, and help unblock decisions. They don’t tell the team how to do things, they explain why it’s being done.
In summary, the Product Owner gathers the customer’s needs, turns them into ideas, and presents them to the team so they can be implemented and improve the product.
And for you, what has your Product Owner done in your team that helped you progress and improve the product?
