At the start of each year, we set New Year’s resolutions… and often abandon them before the end of January.
Goals that are too big, too vague, or that we keep postponing by telling ourselves we still have the whole year.
Scrum and agility offer a different approach.
Instead of setting one resolution for the entire year, choose a single goal to achieve by the end of March.
A clear, concrete goal that can realistically be reached in a few weeks.
Then ask yourself how you can check that you’re truly making progress.
If your goal is to run a marathon, start by measuring a 10K, then a half marathon, and keep checking that you’re moving closer to your goal.
Good resolutions don’t last because they’re perfect, but because they’re built step by step, over time.
And you, what are your New Year’s resolutions for 2026?
