Sprint Zero Doesn’t Exist

Do you think that in Scrum it’s impossible to have a tangible increment, something that actually works, from the very first Sprint?

Think again. The Scrum Guide says otherwise: there is no Sprint Zero.
Scrum doesn’t include a preparatory sprint. As soon as a Sprint starts, something must be delivered by the end of it.

Scrum isn’t about planning everything in advance, but about learning as you go.
You don’t need a perfectly defined backlog—just ideas and a vision. From there, the team can work together during the Sprint and start delivering value immediately.

The idea of a Sprint Zero may seem convenient, but it delays the first delivery and user feedback.

In short, in Scrum, there is no Sprint Zero.
The focus is on delivering value and continuously learning while moving forward.

So, what could you deliver today without waiting for a Sprint Zero?
