The Daily Scrum

My account is called Le Daily Agile, but do you really know what the Daily Scrum is?

The Daily comes from the Scrum framework.
It’s a 15-minute meeting, held every day of the Sprint, always at the same time and in the same place.

Its goal is to inspect progress toward the Sprint Goal and adapt the plan if needed.

Only Developers take part in it, since they’re the ones who organize their work each day.
If the Product Owner or Scrum Master are working on an item from the Sprint Backlog, they also join as Developers.

The structure of the meeting is flexible, as long as it helps answer one simple question:
“How can we move closer to the Sprint Goal by tomorrow?”

When done right, the Daily Scrum improves communication, helps identify obstacles, and enables quick decision-making.

In short, it’s 15 minutes to stay aligned, focused, and self-organized.
