Have you ever heard of the Lean Coffee format?
It’s a meeting format with no fixed agenda, where topics are built together as the discussion unfolds.
The idea is simple: each participant suggests topics, they’re written down on post-its, and then everyone votes, for example, using dot voting, to decide the order in which they’ll be discussed.
The topic with the most votes is then discussed for a limited time, usually 5 to 10 minutes.
At the end of that time, the group decides whether to continue, move on to the next topic, or close the discussion.
This format encourages focused, dynamic, and truly collaborative conversations.
No one imposes the content, the group builds the discussion together.
When used well, Lean Coffee fosters collective intelligence, transparency, and engagement from everyone.
In short, it’s a coffee with no agenda, but full of ideas.
