In Scrum, we find principles and values, but also 5 key Scrum events.
We will discover them today.
The most important and longest one is the Sprint. It is a period of up to one month, and during this time, we find the other 4 Scrum events.
When a Sprint starts, the first event we encounter is Sprint Planning. Here, the work to be done over the next two or four weeks is defined.
Then, every day, we have the Daily Scrum. Here, we inspect progress toward the Sprint Goal and adjust the plan if needed.
At the end of the Sprint, we have the Sprint Review. Here, we inspect the work done during the Sprint, check whether the goals were achieved, and define a vision for what comes next.
And the last event of the Sprint is the Sprint Retrospective. Here, we inspect our processes and ways of working, and how we can improve together.
In summary, the Sprint acts as a container for all the other events, helping structure and pace the team while delivering value.
