Scrum works great for one team. But what happens when multiple teams need to work on the same product?
The answer is Nexus.
Nexus is a framework created by the founders of Scrum.
The goal is to keep the heart of Scrum and simply scale it across multiple teams.
To do that, Nexus adds key elements, like Cross-Team Refinement and Nexus Sprint Planning, to keep everyone in sync.
It also introduces a key role like the Nexus Integration Team, whose responsibility is to ensure the increment is properly integrated at the end of each sprint.
The idea is not to replace Scrum, but to extend it.
Scrum is designed for teams of 3 to 9 people, while Nexus is built to synchronize 3 to 9 Scrum teams.
In summary, Nexus allows Scrum to work at a larger scale, while keeping its values and principles at its core.
What about you, have you ever tried to synchronize multiple Scrum teams? How did it go?
